What happens when I submit my drone pilot profile?

Why am I CAS listed as a drone pilot?
As a holder of current CAA authorisations you are automatically included within CAS listed. This allows people to verify that your authorisations are current. This CAA data (CAP 1361) used to be regularly updated and published as multiple PDFs on the CAA website but has now been withdrawn. We partner with local drone pilots to manage their drone pilot search engine profile.

How do CAS listed make money?
When we started we do not make money. Our goal to was to build the UK’s largest community of professional drone pilots. We now generate income from an affordable and valued added subscription model. We are investing in the drone pilots and the UK drone sector as a whole to deliver a financial benefit to pilots now and in the future too.
Through also working in partnership with large business groups we aim to deliver commercially aligned service platforms. Places where people looking for a service are able to find a supplier.
Sceptical?
That is a good sign. It means you understand that every penny you spend on promoting and marketing your business needs to bring value, whether financial or in your business’s standing. We actively encourage people to contact us with any concerns, questions or opinions. It is how we make sure we are all successful.
What will my profile look like?
There are 3 outcomes when people use the search and verification tools.
1. You are FOUND in the search results
This is because you hold current authorisations and have completed your drone pilot profile. Your listing will include a direct link to your website allowing people to contact you. The website link is disabled when incomplete or expired authorisations are present. To activate the link we ask pilots to use the Add My Business service.

2. You are VERIFIED in the verification tool
This is because you hold current authorisations. You do not need to complete your drone pilot profile to be verified as holding current authorisations.
Holds current authorisations
3. You cannot be FOUND or verified
This is because you do not hold current authorisations which means you will not be on CAS listed. Only pilots holding current CAA authorisations are included.
